When the dash cam operates in parking mode, it draws power from the vehicle's battery via a parking surveillance cable until the battery voltage drops to the preset limit, at which point the cable shuts off. This means the duration of surveillance depends on the battery's condition. Aging batteries may only support a few hours of monitoring, and prolonged use can significantly reduce battery lifespan.
The external battery pack charges from the vehicle's alternator while driving, storing energy for parking mode. This ensures constant surveillance without draining the vehicle battery, thereby extending its lifespan by preventing excessive discharge.
Opt.1
Cigarette Lighter Charging (Simple Setup)
*Note: If the vehicle has a constantly powered cigarette lighter socket, the Opt.1 is not suitable.
Opt.2
Hardwire Connection (Fast Charging Speed)
Opt.1
Directly Connect to Dash Cams via Type-C 5V Port
Opt.2
Connect the 4G Parking Surveillance Cable via 12V Output Port
*To enable the 4G function, please select the Opt.2
To prevent vibrations, place the battery pack with its wide surface down on the vehicle floor, securing it with adhesive Velcro. Use cable ties to fasten the wires and prevent loose connections.
